nyc pix! i went to a show at clemente soto velez center in LES called "Fresher" by an all-women's art collective. they have photos by martha cooper, the person who took all those famous photos of graffiti during early hip hop era. in her photos at the show, she has kids playing with/transforming discarded pieces/trash, like making forts out of cardboard boxes. here's one of the photos http://www.evolvingstyles.co.uk/joomla1015/images/stories/art_images/martha-cooper-2.jpg
